Secret Windows Essays and Fiction on the Craft of Writing |

What the heck is Secret Windows?
Secret Windows is a collection of essays written by Stephen King, released exclusively through the Book of the Month Club. As of now, no one knows why he's going this route, especially since fans have been clamoring for such a collection for years, and releasing such a collection in regular stores would be quite welcome. Regardless, this seems to be a fairly thorough - if not exhaustive - collection, including very early pieces (from the famous newszine "Dave's Rag," to which King contributed regularly at a young age) and a brand-new introductory essay by Peter Straub.
How do I find Secret Windows?
I would reccomend checking out the usual suspects, King- and horror-specific stores that may deal in this. I have a whole page devoted to these stores, so check it out!
Another option is signing up for The Book of the Month Club. The deal going on now you buy 5 books for $1.00 + s&h charges (probably per book). Unfortunately, you also agree to buy 4 books in the next 2 years at regular club prices. They also offer you a chance to buy 1 of the required 4 for 4.95 when you sign up, making it only 3 more in 2 years. (Thanks to Gerald Mudd for the info!)
